Pick a market. Every number below is counted from its real daily prices, not a forecast. The question is simple: when it went up yesterday, how often did it go up again today? If the past had a pattern you could trade, it would show up here.
Days that moved 3% or more in either direction, and what happened the next day.
The two middle columns are the whole story. If "after up" and "after down" sit near each other and near 50%, yesterday told you nothing. The bar shows the gap between them against a 50% line.
| Market | Name | Up days | Up after up | Up after down | Gap | Typical move | Biggest day | Days under 0.1% |
|---|
How to read "days under 0.1%". trench.io's 1000x multiplier means a price move of about 0.1% against a position uses up the entire stake. That column counts how many days out of the whole sample closed within 0.1% of the prior close. Everything else moved further than that, in one direction or the other, before the day was over.
What this is not. Close-to-close moves understate what happens inside a day. The high and low of a typical trading day are further apart than the two closes. Real intraday swings are larger, not smaller, than what is shown here.
